The Fear of Making Money on the Web

It’s no secret that millions of people believe that pretty much anything you see online is a complete scam. This especially applies to the “make money online” sector of the internet. Those three words almost immediately strike a sense of fear into the minds of many.

Why do people fear the “make money online” niche?

For years the internet has been slammed with ads, websites, blogs, social profiles, social communities and many other things with promotions of products, guides, and tips on “how to make money online”. And many people jump on board and buy everything related to those words.

But, over time, people have become very hesitant about getting involved with anything that has to do with “making money online”.

Why?

Because, unfortunately, many people have gone out and bought several products that claim to explain “how to make money online” and haven’t seen anything come of the guides they buy.

Sadly, though, many people buy these guides, give them a try for anywhere between a day and two weeks, don’t see any results and then give up on the idea of making money online and assume the product they bought was a scam because it didn’t work for them.

This is what is destroying the idea of having an online job.

While there are a few books and products out there that are obvious scams (remember the “Get Paid by Posting Links on Google” guides?) but many of them aren’t. But the fact that people are lazy and don’t take the necessary action and time to actually see results from the information leads them to believe these products are scams because they didn’t see results in a shot time period.

That is one thing you CAN NOT do when it comes to starting out making money on the web. It takes time to get things going. But when they do start going, it takes off.

For instance, my first day I got lucky and made $40 right away. That is NOT a typical result. That was a stroke of luck. But it did give me the motivation to push harder and get more going with it.

And believe me, if you put in the time and effort, you WILL see results. Just yesterday I pulled in just over $300. That’s in ONE day.

Today I wanted to hit on something that many people either overlook or just don’t take into consideration when they are trying to learn how to start making money on the web. That, of course, would be motivation.

Without motivation you really won’t ever be able to succeed as much as you’d like to. Without motivation, you don’t make money. I mean let’s face it.. whether you want to believe it or not, making money online isn’t a quick walk in the park. It takes a lot of time, patience and hard work to get the ball rolling with online income.

And in order to keep pushing forward to start earning your first $1, $10, $100, etc, you have to have something to motivate you. Whether it be the money, the concept of success, or just a personal goal to pocket some extra spending cash, you need motivation to get you where you want to be.

A lot of people try to start making money on the web and after a week or two and not seeing anything, they quit. This isn’t the way you should be. Sure, you have the possibility of making your first few bucks on your very first day but it highly unlikely. A lot of people work months and months before they start seeing an real income coming in. But if you put the work in, the money will come.

The video game industry is one that has exploded over the past few years with the release of consoles like the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii which have been dominating the market for a while. How well does it pay?

Well, when you’re first starting out you can expect to earn around $30 an hour but after just a few initial jobs you can be earning upwards to $50 an hour. And yes, it’s legit. We tested it ourselves on a couple “jobs”. It was pretty easy and fun and it did pay. We ended up doing a “job” for about 4 hours and received a $119 check not too long after.

The hard part is finding jobs. But there is a course available that reveals how and where to grab these game tester jobs. It makes easy work of finding companies that are willing to pay you to play games.

The course is known as National GameTesters.

It was developed by a college student who is making some serious cash while in school using video game tester jobs. The course goes over everything from how and where to find jobs to what you should expect companies to want from you during a job. It’s really a great resource and we find the information to be easy to follow and well organized.

You can easily make $100+ a day doing this if you put the time into it. It’s not hard and it’s actually very fun considering it’s a job testing video games.

CashCrate

We’ve talked about CashCrate before on our site within our post about how to get paid to do surveys, but for those of you who are first time readers, we’d like to cover this site again. The reason we talk about CashCrate so much on the site is because it’s where both of us started our online money making adventure. And it’s a great place to start. It’s very beginner oriented and it’s very possible to squeeze some big bucks out of this site if you play your cards right.

CashCrate pays members for completing short surveys, participating in free & paid offers, referring other members to the site and much more. Now, for those of you who don’t understand how a website is able to pay you for doing these things, let me explain..

CashCrate get’s paid by advertisers for each and every referral they send to the advertiser’s site. Whether it be for an insurance quote, a cell phone ringtone or a credit report, they get paid for every member they send to the site. Out of these earnings they give YOU, the member, a certain percentage for participating and agreeing to be their referral.

So, CashCrate gets a bit of money in their pocket, and you get a bit of money in your pocket for doing some quick and easy stuff. It’s beneficial all around. And CashCrate isn’t one of those crap sites that promises to pay you and then never do. They’ve been in business since 2006, do you really think their business would last this long if they had been scamming people all along? No, it wouldn’t. They send out checks to their members each and every month.

How Much Can I Make with CashCrate?

In all reality, this is completely up to you. The more work you put into it, the greater your reward will be. There are many members making an extra $100 or $200 every month and there are members making over $1000 every month. It all depends on where you take it.

The best way to really earn some serious cash with this site is to do a ton of surveys and offers at first to get an idea of what you’re supposed to do, then focus on getting referrals. Referrals are where the big money comes in. But you need to get to know how CashCrate works by completing surveys and offers before you start referring a ton of people so that way you can help your new referrals get started and they won’t go inactive on you.

CashCrate is a genuinely great way to put some extra cash in your pocket or even earn a living wage. Like I said, it all depends on the time and effort you put into it. Treat it like a business when you’re getting referrals. Because that’s exactly what it is. You’re getting new clients that will help you make money. So be a good sport and help them to get started and they will keep coming to you.

Project Payday

Project Payday takes you one step further in online earning because it is more of a business that you run than CashCrate is. Project Payday (also referred to as PPD) is all about what is known as freebie trading.

What is Freebie Trading?

Freebie trading is a unique, easy way to start earning money. It isn’t difficult to do at all.

The basic concept behind freebie trading is to make a profit by getting paid to sign up for free and low-cost trials offered by advertisers. Some are completely free to try, others require a small fee for shipping you a product (usually around $2-$8). But with that small investment comes great profit. And the more freebie trades you complete, the greater profit you will see.

It may sound confusing, but it’s actually very simple.

A good site to check out that covers the basics of freebie trading and even offers great training in it is Project Payday. The site offers live support and great training for those of you who might be interested in starting in freebie trading. And with their “Fast First 50″ program, you’ll earn your first $50 online in a day and have the motivation to keep going on and on. It’s a very addictive and fun business to get into.

It’s a very profitable business.

Inbox Dollars

Inbox Dollars is very similar to sites like CashCrate due to the fact that it is a “get paid to” or “gpt” site. Inbox Dollars offers many of the same options of making money on the web as CashCrate but there are a few differences that should be noted about the site.

First of all, on top of being able to make cash through paid surveys and completing offers you can also get paid to read emails. This usually only pays a little bit for each email but after a while it really starts to add up. And there’s nothing easier than opening an email and clicking a link. That’s all there is to it. And for those of you who are wondering, I do not use my personal email for these sites. I make another email account specifically for things like this so I don’t get bombarded with spam all day long.

Another difference between the two sites is that instead of starting out with a %20 commission for referral earnings on CashCrate, you only get %10. And you can actually earn up to %30 on CashCrate but InboxDollars will never give you beyond %10 for your referrals.

Other than that, both sites are great and actually do pay.
